“Merry Christmas” Box Office: Day 6 Collection Reaches ₹13.8 Crores, ₹1 Crore on the Sixth Day

“Merry Christmas,” featuring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi, earned ₹1 crore on its sixth day at the box office. The thriller, directed by Sriram Raghavan, was released on January 12 and has accumulated a total of ₹13.8 crores.

The suspense thriller, directed by Sriram Raghavan, has garnered praise for its performances and storyline, including commendation from director Anurag Kashyap. The film, released on January 12 during the Pongal holiday, has been making an impact at the box office.

“Merry Christmas” has accumulated an estimated ₹13.83 crore nett in all languages at the domestic box office. The film, presented in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, has been appreciated for its performances and storyline, contributing to its success at the box office.

“Merry Christmas” began its box office journey with ₹2.45 crore nett on Friday and continued its upward trend over the weekend, achieving its highest day-wise figure of ₹3.83 crore nett on Sunday. The film maintained steady performance on Monday with ₹1.65 crore nett and added ₹1.3 crore nett on Tuesday, contributing to its overall box office collection in India.

“Merry Christmas” unfolds the narrative of how an ordinary Christmas Eve transforms the lives of two strangers. The film has been crafted in two languages, Hindi and Tamil, each boasting a distinct supporting cast. In the Hindi version, Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan, and Tinnu Anand join Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles. Meanwhile, the Tamil version features Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kevin Jay Babu, and Rajesh Williams reprising the same roles.

Filmmaker Sriram Raghavan, when asked about the possibility of a sequel for “Merry Christmas,” expressed that he had initially conceived the film as a small project and doesn’t have plans for a sequel. Raghavan emphasized the importance of leaving the audience with the feeling that “it’s a Christmas special” and suggested that the emotional impact is crucial, making it something that should remain untouched.
