The BMC has now given Bollywood actor Sonu Sood two weeks to convert his six-story Shiv Sagar building in Juhu from a hotel to a residence. In response, the actor is said to have stated that he will follow BMC’s instructions. In the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak, the ‘Dabangg’ actor converted his building into a motel for the uninitiated.
The municipality then claimed that the residential structure had been illegally transformed into a hotel. The actor received a letter instructing him to change the building’s status to “residential.” He’s also been told to take down any ‘unauthorized structures or adjustments.’
The action was taken after municipal commissioner Iqbal Chahal authorized a petition from Sood’s architects to revert the building’s use to residential after the actor reportedly transformed it into a hotel without BMC authorization. More information is available in the video.
