Rumors are swirling that Apple could introduce up to five models in its forthcoming iPhone 16 series this year. Additionally, tipster Majin Bu, formerly known on Twitter as X, has hinted at the possibility of two new iPhone 16 SE models making their debut in 2024.

According to rumors, Apple is purportedly planning to unveil five models as part of its iPhone 16 series. This lineup may include the introduction of new variants, such as the iPhone 16 SE and iPhone 16 Plus SE models, which could offer unique features tailored to specific market segments or price points.

Each year, anticipation builds among Apple enthusiasts as they eagerly await the release of new iPhone models. Traditionally, Apple unveils its latest smartphones in September, typically offering four models: standard, Plus, Pro, and Pro Max. However, recent rumors suggest that Apple may break from tradition by launching up to five models in its upcoming iPhone 16 series. Tipster Majin Bu, formerly known on Twitter as X, has hinted at the possibility of two new iPhone 16 SE models joining the lineup in 2024.

The leaked schematics suggest that Apple is considering launching five distinct models as part of the upcoming iPhone 16 series. This includes a potential integration of the iPhone SE line into the flagship lineup, expanding the range of offerings. The renders accompanying the leaks depict different camera configurations across the models, with notable attention given to the iPhone 16 SE and iPhone 16 Plus SE, which feature a single pill-shaped rear camera layout reminiscent of the iPhone X design.

The regular iPhone 16 version is reported to feature a dual rear camera unit, whereas the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are said to sport a triple rear camera setup. These leaked design details are consistent with earlier rumors, which have depicted vertical camera arrangements with pill-shaped camera bumps. This represents a departure from the square-shaped camera bump seen in the current iPhone 15 series.

Reports indicate that the iPhone 16 SE may come equipped with a 6.1-inch display featuring a 90Hz refresh rate, while its counterpart, the iPhone 16 Plus SE, could boast a larger 6.7-inch screen with a 60Hz refresh rate. Both models are rumored to include the Dynamic Island feature. In contrast, speculation suggests that the standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro variants may feature 6.3-inch screens with a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is rumored to sport a larger 6.9-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

In addition to the design and specifications, the tipster has provided potential pricing details for the iPhone 16 series in a comment on X. According to the leaks, the iPhone 16 SE may start at $699 (approximately Rs 58,000) for the 128GB model, while the iPhone 16 SE Plus could be priced at $799 (around Rs 66,000) for the 256GB variant. These leaked price points offer insights into the expected pricing strategy for the upcoming iPhone 16 SE models, providing consumers with an idea of the potential cost of entry for these devices. However, it’s important to note that these details are based on leaks and should be treated with caution until officially confirmed by Apple.

The base model of the standard iPhone 16, featuring 256GB of storage, is speculated to be priced at $699. Meanwhile, the 256GB variants of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are rumored to cost $999 (approximately Rs 83,000) and $1099 (roughly Rs 91,000), respectively.

It’s important to note that all this information is not official and should be taken with a pinch of salt. Apple typically announces its new iPhones in September each year, and the event is still several months away. As the launch date approaches, we can expect to see many more leaks and rumors circulating.
