Arjun Kapoor is set to play a pivotal role in “Singham Again.” On Wednesday, he revealed his character, described as “Singham ka villain (Singham’s villain),” from the Rohit Shetty-directed film. The unveiled avatar is depicted as gory and bloody, suggesting an intense and menacing portrayal by the actor.
Arjun Kapoor took to Instagram to share two photos from “Singham Again” – one featuring himself solo and another with Ranveer Singh in his cop avatar. In his caption, Arjun expressed his excitement about portraying “Singham ka villain,” stating that he feels on top of the world being a part of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. He assured fans that his character would bring mayhem to the screen, hinting at the intensity of his role in the film.
Arjun Kapoor’s intense look from “Singham Again” garnered reactions from fellow celebrities. A bloodied Arjun, wielding a cleaver covered in blood, evoked a response from actor Varun Dhawan who dropped a raising hands emoji, indicating admiration. Filmmaker Rohit Shetty took to Instagram to share Arjun Kapoor’s first look from the movie, writing, “Insaan galati karta hai, aur usse uski saza bhi milti hai… Lekin ab jo aayega, wo shaitaan hai (Man commits mistakes, and he gets punishment for that too…But now whoever comes, is the devil!)! CAN I SAY – INTRODUCING ARJUN KAPOOR!” This caption sets the tone for Arjun’s character, hinting at the menacing and devilish nature of his role in the film.
“Singham Again” marks the return of director Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, serving as the fifth installment in the franchise and a sequel to “Singham Returns” (2014). Initially announced in September 2017 with the working title “Singham 3,” the official title was unveiled in December 2022.
“Singham Again” is set to hit theaters in August 2024, aligning with Independence Day. The film boasts a star-studded cast featuring Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff in lead roles.
