Elon Musk is intensifying the focus on calling functionality within X (formerly Twitter). This latest addition comes amid numerous enhancements and changes to the platform’s core experience under Musk’s leadership, following his acquisition of the social media company nearly a year ago. After rebranding Twitter as X, Musk indicated his intention to turn the platform into a super-app, providing a wide range of services including messaging, social networking, and peer-to-peer payments.
Teasing the feature in August last year, Musk highlighted that users would not need a phone number to access these functionalities, which are compatible with Apple’s iOS, Google’s Android, and personal computers.
