OnePlus Open was scheduled to launch on August 29.

The launch of OnePlus Open, the company’s first foldable phone, was initially rumored to take place on August 29. However, a new report from a tipster contradicts the previous information, stating that OnePlus has delayed the launch. The reason behind the delay is said to be a change in the production plan for the phone’s screens. Originally, the OnePlus Open was planned to feature a BOE panel, but now the company is reportedly testing the device with display panels from Samsung.

As for the specifications, the OnePlus Open is expected to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, coupled with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

Renowned tipster Max Jambor (@MaxJmb) had previously asserted that OnePlus Open would be launched on August 29. However, he has now tweeted that the company’s first foldable phone will experience a delay in its launch. The reason behind this delay is a last-minute change by OnePlus in display manufacturing. Initially, the OnePlus Open was expected to feature BOE panels, but now the company is reportedly switching to Samsung panels.

As of now, OnePlus has not officially confirmed the launch timeline for the OnePlus Open. Hence, it is advisable to approach the mentioned details with caution and not consider them as confirmed until an official announcement is made.

The rumored OnePlus Open has been the center of attention in recent times with several leaks and speculations surfacing. According to a recent leak, the device is expected to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, paired with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone is said to boast a 7.8-inch 2K AMOLED inner display and a 6.3-inch AMOLED cover screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is speculated to be available in black and green color options. However, it’s important to remember that these details are yet to be officially confirmed by OnePlus.

The OnePlus Open is rumored to feature a triple rear camera setup, comprising a 50-megapixel sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 48-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide lens, and a 32-megapixel sensor with a periscope lens. For selfies, it is speculated to have two front camera sensors, each with a 32-megapixel resolution. Again, it’s important to note that these specifications are yet to be officially confirmed by OnePlus.
