After Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) was eliminated from the IPL 2023, Shubman Gill and his sister Shahneel faced social media abuse.

In the Indian Premier League 2023, Shubman Gill, the opening batter for the Gujarat Titans, extended his impressive performance by scoring back-to-back centuries on Sunday. Gill’s remarkable century propelled the Titans to another victory in the tournament, but it also led to the elimination of Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) from the competition. While victories and defeats are part of the game, a certain group of fans responded unfavorably to RCB’s loss by subjecting Gill to social media abuse. Unfortunately, Gill’s sister Shahneel also became a target of some fans, particularly due to her Instagram post after the match.

Sharing a few pictures from the game, Gill’s sister Shahneel captioned her Instagram post with the words, “What a wholesome day.” Regrettably, numerous fans left hateful comments on the post directed towards both Shahneel and Shubman.
