After an initially positive start, the stock markets experience a shift towards volatility.

The Sensex, standing at 61,383.45, witnessed a decrease of 48.29 points, while the Nifty dropped by 28.30 points to reach 18,101.65.

Among the companies listed on the Sensex, State Bank of India, Infosys, HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra, Axis Bank, Wipro, ICICI Bank, Power Grid, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Mahindra & Mahindra experienced significant gains. On the other hand, ITC, NTPC, Titan, Larsen & Toubro, Maruti, and Tata Motors were among the companies that struggled.

In Asian markets, Seoul, Tokyo, and Shanghai were trading positively, while Hong Kong witnessed a decline.

In the United States, the market closed on a positive note on Thursday.
