North Carolina drone delivery company Flytrex takes the aerial route to serve food to customers

Food delivery with the aid of using drones is now picking up steam withinside the US. Drone delivery company Flytrex has introduced it’s expanding services to newer areas. It lately released its drone delivery service to Holly Springs, a small city of 25,000 residents, in North Carolina.

The employer stated it has started food delivery to dozens of families that opted for its services. Many food delivery companies are gearing up to take the aerial course to serve their customers. This is as it saves time and people in charge of delivery do not have to negotiate traffic in busy neighbourhoods.

Also, food delivery via drones is less expensive logistically. This carrier in Holly Springs is one of 9 such programmes being examined with the aid of using US government before allowing commercial drone services. For Flytrex, Holly Springs is the third area of operation withinside the US state. They already deliver groceries, household items, and food in 2 more towns. Flytrex is reportedly making plans to enlarge its services further.

Flytrex CEO Yariv Bash stated that the company would really like to illustrate the advantages of drone delivery to more people in North Carolina. “We are hovering into a brand new age wherein smart cities harness the enormous power of drones to maximise performance and feed consumers’ growing urge for food for on-call for deliveries — all while lowering our carbon footprint,” stated Bash.

Seeing the delivery drones in their skies is making Holly Springs residents “excited” and they’re feeling pleased with embracing new innovations, stated Mayor Dick Sears. Once the drone reaches the delivery point, the purchaser is alerted. The drone then lowers the food from a wire for the customer to pick it. Customers can also track the drone through the Flytrex app while it carries meals to them.

In India, restaurant aggregator and food delivery provider Swiggy has been trying out drones for delivery. It has got a final clearance from the Ministry of Defence, Directorate General of Aviation, and the Ministry of Civil Aviation to begin the trials. Swiggy’s drone delivery associate ANRA Technologies first examined the service in June this year and trials have been underway since. The service is possibly to cater to food and medical packages initially.
