Swiggy refuses to lose out on direct delivery, launches direct order product

Bowing to the consistent interest of eateries, online food-conveyance specialist organization Swiggy has begun guiding ‘request direct’ in association with select cafés in Mumbai.

“We have been in chats on these throughout the previous few weeks. While different subtleties are not yet clear, this generally resembles a positive development,” Anurag Katiyar, leader of National Restaurants Association of India (NRAI), told Moneycontrol. Swiggy didn’t remark.

Swiggy’s introduction to arrange direct was first revealed by CapTable.Interestingly, the advancement happens even as NRAI has documented a grievance with the Competition Commission of India (CCI) against Swiggy and adversary Zomato, asserting that the practices followed by the two firms have “obvious unfriendly impact on rivalry”.
