Show business may be a risky business. Yami Gautam, a Bollywood actress, has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate’s Mumbai unit and ordered to appear before them on July 7th, just a few days after her wedding, which caused quite a stir online. The actress is said to have been implicated in some FEMA infractions, including some international transactions through her bank account.
“Mumbai: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned actor Yami Gautam, asking her to appear before them next week to record her testimony in connection with alleged FEMA (Foreign Exchange Management Act) irregularities,” according to ANI.
Yami Gautam recently married Aditya Dhar, the director of “Uri,” in Chandigarh, and has lately returned to Mumbai to begin filming on her upcoming projects.
Yami was contacted by ETimes, but no comment was obtained till the time of publication of this piece.
