Big tech companies to advertise in Russia will have to open Russian offices

The Russian government has been hoping to get control over Big Tech’s impact in the country. In 2019, it introduced a law that necessitates device makers to pre-install Russian-made applications on phones, TVs, and PCs (with Apple being permitted to rather show the applications to clients during the setup process).
