On the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi extended his support to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

Pankaj, who has significant fan following among all age gatherings, was approached by NCB Patna Zonal Unit for an initiative. Discussing the subject, the ‘Stree’ actor said that he understands his position and backing for such critical themes matter enormously and as well as the reality that his voice has the ability to positively touch uncountable lives.

Consequently, on this significant day,  the great actor shot and uploaded a video with a powerful message for today’s generation about drug usage and the devastating influence it has not only on their loved ones’ lives, but also on their own. In the video, he urged people to avoid drugs and instead focus on the positive aspects of life.

“The authorities from NCB Patna reached out to me for this cause,” Pankaj explained, “and anything that is related with Bihar and public problems, I personally have an interest in lending my support to such initiatives and creating awareness.”

“Cinema is one of the favourite mediums of youth,” he continued, “and as an actor, if we initiate any awareness campaign, it may reach out to the maximum number of people, creating more impact. It’s a social responsibility for me as an actor and as a citizen of this country, and I try to fulfil my duty as much as I can.”

The International Day Against Drug Addiction is held every year on June 26th with the goal of raising awareness about drug-related issues and boosting action and cooperation in order to rid the world of drug abuse.

On this day, many individuals, organisations, and communities gather together throughout the world to educate people about the challenges that society faces as a result of illegal substances.

This year’s theme is ‘Share Facts On Drugs, Save Lives,’ with the goal of combatting misinformation and sharing drug-related facts as well as therapeutic solutions to address the problem around the world.
