A resident of Bihar has willed his property value Rs 5 crore to his two elephants. Akhtar Imam, chief supervisor of the Asian Elephant Rehabilitation and Wildlife Animal Belief (AERAWAT), has been taking care of the pachyderms Moti and Rani since he was 12 years outdated. He took the choice after one in every of them saved his life from some armed assailants.

“Animals are trustworthy, not like people. I’ve labored for the conservation of elephants for a few years. I do not need that after my demise my elephants are orphaned,” he additional stated.
