Home launches down 24% as realtors try to trim inventory - The Economic  Times

PropEquity Reports, a real estate data research and analysis firm, said. The majority of
sales went through April 15th.
Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, MMR, Pune, Cities with home sales growth of 16%, 40%, 39% in the first 5 months of 2020, over the first 5 months of 2020. %, 29%, and 34% respectively.
It was only Kolkata and NCR that home sales declined 11% and 20%, respectively, over the same period.
NCR’s sales were heavily impacted by the second wave of COVID-19. Meanwhile, the city has stalled to deal with health emergencies. This has resulted in strict lockdowns, which further impacted home sales. NCR saw home sales fall 20% to 9,106 units in the first five months of 2021, but new releases rose 50% to 7,815 units.
