Neena Gupta has been making news for her shocking autobiography claims. The actress has discussed a variety of topics, ranging from personal problems to career setbacks. Did you know she once advised her daughter Masaba against pursuing a career in acting?

Yes, you read that correctly. Neena remembers asking Masaba not to become an actor in India in an interview with a news portal. She told her that she may try her hand at acting in another country, but not in India. According to Neena, she will always receive less opportunities in Indian movies because of her appearance and figure. She also warned her daughter that she would never be able to compete with Hema Malini or Alia Bhatt.

The mother-daughter duo recently starred in a web series called “Masaba Masaba,” which was well appreciated by both the audience and critics.

As a single mother, Neena has reared Masaba. Vivian Richards, a cricketer, was the actress’s long-term partner. The cricketer, on the other hand, she never married. Satish Kaushik, a friend and actor, offered to marry her when she was pregnant with Masaba.

In her memoirs, she said that he informed her that if her child was born with dark skin, she could just say it was his child and they would marry.

The actress also spoke openly about the difficulties she faced in her professional life as a result of the image she was given. She also stated that she used to get all bad roles of a dominant woman in the home cast because she believes that in our films, a strong woman equals a negative woman.

She will next be featured in the film “Goodbye,” in which she will share screen time with Amitabh Bachchan. Rashmika Mandanna and Pavail Gulati also star in the film.
