The widow of the controversial antivirus programming tycoon John McAfee said her significant other was not suicidal, and accused authorities of United States for “this misfortune” after he was discovered dead in his cell in a jail close to Barcelona on Wednesday.

The 75-year-old McAfee, who had numerous spats with the law, was anticipating extradition in the wake of being accused of tax avoidance in the United States last year.

Addressing journalists outside the jail on Friday, Janice McAfee requested an asked for a thorough probe, saying she needed “answers of how this had occur.”

The reason for McAfee’s demise is being scrutinized, a representative for the Superior Court of Catalonia revealed to CNN this week.

Janice McAfee’s attorney, Javier Villalba, told columnists Friday his client is trusting that the official autopsy to be finished adding that the family has requested second and an independent one.
