At an awards event, Ranbir Kapoor revealed advice he received from Mukesh Ambani, urging him not to let success get to his head. Additionally, Kapoor discussed his “three goals in life” during his acceptance speech.
Ranbir Kapoor, upon receiving the Maharashtrian of the Year award at the Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year Awards, mentioned Mukesh Ambani in his speech. Kapoor shared three guiding principles he lives by, inspired by advice he received from the businessman.
Notably, Kapoor shares a close bond with Mukesh Ambani’s son, Akash Ambani, as evidenced by their joint attendance at the grand ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony held at the newly-constructed Ram Temple in Ayodhya in January.
During his acceptance speech at the awards ceremony, Ranbir Kapoor reflected on the advice he received from Mukesh Ambani, who was seated in the front row. Kapoor, presented with the award by veteran actor Jeetendra, shared his “short and simple” winning speech.
He expressed his gratitude and outlined three simple life goals, emphasizing the importance of meaningful work with humility. Kapoor recounted how Mukesh Ambani had inspired him, advising him to remain grounded and focused on his work, regardless of success or failure. Specifically, Ambani’s counsel resonated with Kapoor: “Keep your head down and continue to work. Don’t take success to your head and failure to your heart.”
Ranbir Kapoor, who welcomed his daughter Raha Kapoor with actor-wife Alia Bhatt in 2022, continued his speech by outlining his second and third life goals. He expressed his aspiration to become a good person, striving to excel in various roles including son, father, husband, brother, and friend. Kapoor emphasized the importance of being a responsible citizen, stating, “Third, and most important, I want to be a good citizen. I am very proud to be a Mumbaikar, and such awards mean a lot to me.”
Ranbir Kapoor’s most recent project was the 2023 blockbuster film “Animal,” directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. In the movie, Kapoor starred alongside Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. However, “Animal” received criticism from some quarters for allegedly promoting toxic masculinity.
Ranbir Kapoor has several exciting projects in the pipeline. One of them is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Love and War,” where he stars alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. Additionally, Kapoor is set to portray the iconic character of Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film based on the epic Ramayana. These projects promise to showcase Kapoor’s versatility as an actor across different genres and roles.
