The government has introduced the prestigious ‘National Creators Award’ to recognize the influence of digital creators and influencers and promote India’s digital economy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s advocacy for the transformative potential of the creator economy has led to the introduction of the National Creators Award by MyGov India. This initiative aims to honor digital pioneers and content creators for their impactful contributions to India’s digital landscape.

The award ceremony will celebrate exceptional creativity and innovation across various categories, including storytelling, social change advocacy, environmental sustainability, education, gaming, and more.

Notable categories include the ‘Disruptor of the Year,’ recognizing creators who defy convention and drive substantial change or innovation. The ‘Celebrity Creator of the Year’ category acknowledges high-profile influencers leveraging their status for positive transformation and impactful online content.

The ‘International Creator Award’ recognizes overseas creators enriching India’s cultural influence globally. The ‘Tech Creator Award’ honors individuals simplifying technology, offering insights and reviews on the latest gadgets.

The selection process involves nominations, submission screenings, public voting, and expert panel reviews. Winners will be determined by a combination of jury evaluations and public votes.

The statement by the ministry highlights the overarching purpose of the National Creators Award, which is to recognize and honor the positive impact of digital media on society.
