John Abraham Unveils Next Film ‘Vedaa’: Poster, Release Date, and More

Actor John Abraham recently revealed details about his upcoming film by sharing its first poster and release date on X (formerly Twitter). Titled “Vedaa,” the film is scheduled to hit theaters in July of this year.

The first poster of “Vedaa” depicts actor Sharvari Wagh with tears in her eyes standing behind John Abraham, who portrays a rugged look. A weapon is also featured in the poster. John shared the poster on social media, announcing the film’s release date as July 12th and revealing that Nikkhil Advani has directed the film.

“Vedaa” is described as a “high-energy action-drama” and marks a reunion between John Abraham and director Nikkhil Advani after their collaboration on films like “Salaam-e-Ishq” and “Batla House.” Apart from John and Sharvari Wagh, the film also features Abhishek Banerjee in a pivotal role. Directed by Nikkhil Advani from a script by Aseem Arora, “Vedaa” is produced by Zee Studios, Advani’s Emmay Entertainment, and John’s JA Entertainment.

Nikhil Advani, the director of “Vedaa,” expressed that the film is not merely a cinematic endeavor but rather draws inspiration from real events, serving as a reflection of societal issues while pushing the boundaries of reality. He shared his enthusiasm about working with John Abraham, Sharvari Wagh, and Abhishek Banerjee, highlighting the incredible experience of collaborating with them. Nikhil is hopeful that audiences will be moved by the story of “Vedaa,” just as the team was when they first heard it.

“Vedaa” was filmed in Kashmir, with shooting taking place in Srinagar and the Anantnag district in south Kashmir. John Abraham expressed his delight with the experience, describing it as fantastic.

In a video released by the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department on X, John shared his enthusiasm for shooting in Ashmuqam, highlighting the beauty of the location and the warmth of the people. He wore the traditional Kashmiri cloak, pheran, during the shoot, further immersing himself in the local culture and surroundings.

John Abraham’s most recent film was “Pathaan,” directed by Siddharth Anand, which premiered on January 25. Starring alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, John played a significant role in the film. “Pathaan” also featured Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana, with Salman Khan making an extended cameo appearance. The movie was a massive success, breaking numerous box office records and securing its place among the highest-grossing films in the Indian film industry.
