Sushmita Sen Discusses Marriage Plans Amid Reconciliation with Rohman Shawl

Sushmita Sen shared that although she respects the institution of marriage, she prioritizes companionship and freedom more. She emphasized that she is currently in a relationship with Rohman Shawl.

Sushmita Sen has indicated that she currently has no plans of settling down, including any immediate intentions for marriage. In an interview with Film Companion, she discussed her relationship status, confirming that she is presently dating model-actor Rohman Shawl.

Sushmita Sen expressed her perspective on marriage by stating, “I know the whole world thinks I should give a damn about, at this stage at least, settling down. I don’t give a damn about it. Important to mention it’s only because I love and respect the institution of marriage. I do, very much. And I have the blessing of knowing some incredible people, including my (Aarya) director (Ram Madhvani) and my producer (Amita Madhvani), who are one of the most beautiful couples I know.

But I’m a big believer of companionship, dosti (friendship). And if that exists, things can happen. But that respect and dosti is very, very important. And freedom, very very important. So I give a damn about freedom.”

Sushmita Sen was initially in a relationship with model Rohman Shawl, whom she met through Instagram in 2018. However, the couple broke up in 2021. Sushmita shared on her Instagram handle, “We began as friends, we remain friends! The relationship was long over… the love remains.” Following a brief rumored affair with businessman Lalit Modi, Sushmita rekindled her relationship with Rohman. The couple was spotted holding hands at several events, indicating their renewed bond.

On the work front, Sushmita Sen recently captivated audiences with her compelling performance in Aarya Season 3 Part 1. In the series, Sushmita portrays a resilient woman who goes to great lengths to safeguard her family from the criminal underworld. The first season of the show was even nominated for the ‘Best Drama’ series at the International Emmy Awards, showcasing the acclaim received by the series.
