Google Set to Launch Assistant with Bard in March 2024, Featuring Personalized Responses Using Generative AI.

Google intensifies its AI-centric efforts with Gemini LLM model and AI-powered chatbot Bard, amidst competition from Microsoft, OpenAI, and Meta. The company aims to infuse AI across all products, with a particular focus on enhancing Bard chatbot capabilities.Reports suggest Assistant with Bard is set to debut on Pixel devices, showcasing Google’s commitment to AI innovation.

Google’s Bard, confirmed to power voice assistance features, has a leaked video showcasing its integration on Pixel phones. Users can access the AI-powered voice assistant through various methods, including long-pressing the power button, launching the app directly, or using the ‘Hey Google’ hotword.

Assistant with Bard allows users to interact via voice, text, or images and ask questions based on screenshots. Leaked details suggest the feature’s launch in March 2024 as part of the Pixel Feature Drop. However, it may be exclusive to Pixel phones with Tensor chips, excluding certain models and Android devices with specific IDs (UP1, UD1, UQ1), possibly requiring the QRP2 beta or stable version.

Official details about the rollout of Assistant with Bard remain undisclosed, with Google expected to provide clarity on feature availability in the coming weeks.

Rumors Suggest Google is Enhancing Chatbot Bard with Image Generation Capabilities, Aiming to Compete with Rivals in the AI Image Generation Space.

Leaked Changelog Suggests Upcoming Ability for Users to ‘Create Images with Bard’ by Typing a Few Words, as Posted by Dylan Roussel on Social Media Platform X.

Bard’s upcoming image generation feature is expected to leverage Google’s Imagen family of models, capable of producing high-quality, photorealistic, and aesthetically pleasing images for business purposes. Users may create logos or images with text overlays. Google already offers a similar feature in Search for users in the SGE program, allowing them to generate ‘Draw’ or ‘sketch’ images from search queries.

Despite its anticipated capabilities, the Bard image generator is likely to have limitations such as daily quotas, content restrictions, and watermarking, aligning with safety measures. This new feature will complement existing image generation services in Slides and Meet, particularly for custom backgrounds, under Google’s Duet AI initiative.
