MrBeast Explores Flying and Amphibian Cars, Takes a Ride with Jay Leno in Latest Video

Popular YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, commonly known as MrBeast, shared a major milestone on Twitter (now known as X). He disclosed that he earned an impressive $263,000 (approximately Rs 2.20 crore) from a single video titled “$1 vs $100,000,000 Car!” The video managed to accumulate over 150 million views in just one week.

In the video, MrBeast, along with his team, showcased various unique automobiles, including flying and amphibian cars. Notably, they also had the opportunity to share a ride with celebrity Jay Leno. Originally posted on YouTube in September, the video was subsequently reuploaded on X to explore its ad revenue potential. The impressive views it garnered contributed significantly to MrBeast’s earnings from the platform.

The claim about MrBeast’s impending death in 3 years, as mentioned in a YouTube video, should be treated with skepticism.

MrBeast shared details about his earnings on X, stating that his first video on the platform, titled “$1 vs $100,000,000 Car!”, made over $250,000. However, he acknowledged that the substantial revenue could be attributed to advertisers recognizing the video’s popularity and choosing to purchase ads on it. This insight provides context to the exceptional financial success MrBeast experienced with this particular X video.

X, following its rebranding by Elon Musk after he purchased Twitter in 2022, introduced a creator revenue share program last year. This initiative allows creators on the platform to earn a portion of the ad revenue generated from their posts.

Despite the substantial earnings generated from his inaugural video on X, MrBeast, with over 370 million subscribers across all his YouTube channels, acknowledged that the revenue wouldn’t offset a fraction of his video production costs, which amount to millions. However, he remained open to exploring opportunities on X, particularly as the platform’s monetization potential grows over time.

While MrBeast’s earnings from X appear substantial, they represent a relatively small portion of his overall income. Forbes reported that he earned $54 million in 2023, establishing him as the highest-earning creator of the year. Additionally, there are reports suggesting that he is in the process of finalizing a $100 million deal with Amazon for a show. The X earnings, though noteworthy, are just one facet of his diverse and lucrative ventures.

The success of MrBeast’s video on X highlights the platform’s potential within the creator economy, positioning itself as a competitor to industry giants like YouTube and TikTok in the online influencer market.
