Some Tesla board members have allegedly expressed concerns about Elon Musk’s behavior, but as of now, they have not made any public comments regarding the matter.
The reason for Elon Musk’s unusual behavior, including his 2018 tweet about making Tesla private, remains unidentified. Some attribute it to drug use, while others point to his chronic lack of sleep, which Musk has acknowledged. Musk has mentioned that he often sleeps at Tesla and SpaceX offices and works almost constantly. In a recent biography by Walter Isaacson, Musk’s “demon mode” is described, where he loses his temper and lashes out at staff. Musk is quoted in the book as saying, ‘I really don’t like doing illegal drugs.’
