A decade later, the creators are ready to present a sequel that explores a different subject, with Akshay Kumar once again portraying the role of the Almighty.
Joining the cast in pivotal roles are Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi. OMG 2 is scheduled for release next month. Prior to the release, the makers will unveil the movie’s teaser later this week.
The creators of OMG 2 have announced their plans to provide a sneak peek into the film in the upcoming week, specifically on July 11.
While specific details about the film remain undisclosed, we have learned that it will primarily revolve around sex education, with Yami Gautam taking on the role of a lawyer. The makers had previously shared the first look of the actress earlier this month.
During a film festival in Jeddah, Akshay Kumar spoke about the forthcoming film, emphasizing the importance of sex education and expressing his desire for it to be included in school curricula worldwide. He stated, “It’s a very important subject.
In a lot of places, (sex education) is not there. We have all kinds of subjects we learn in school and sex education is one topic I would like all the schools in the world to have.”
In addition to his role in the film, Akshay Kumar will also serve as a producer for OMG 2. Yami Gautam expressed her thoughts on Akshay as a producer, stating, “He is a very skilled producer and someone who exhibits great passion for this film.
During the narration, I could sense his genuine desire to create it with the right team. It was a wonderful opportunity for me to work with the talented Pankaj Tripathi ji as well, who is an exceptional actor. The new writing brings a fresh perspective, addressing a relevant yet often unspoken topic. It will be intriguing to witness.”
OMG 2 is set to release on August 11, coinciding with the theatrical release of Gadar 2, starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel.
