“Akash Madhwal: The Rising Star of Mumbai Indians Dominates IPL Bowling Records”

Originally from Uttarakhand, Madhwal became the first cricketer from his state to participate in the IPL when Mumbai Indians acquired him as a replacement for the injured Suryakumar Yadav in 2022. In 2019, he caught the attention of Uttarakhand coaches Wasim Jaffer and Manish Jha, prompting him to start practicing with the red ball. Since then, Madhwal’s journey has been nothing short of a fairytale, excelling in domestic cricket and earning the honor of being named the white-ball captain for Uttarakhand ahead of the 2023 season.
Interestingly, Madhwal shares a special connection with Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant, as they both hail from the same region in Uttarakhand. During his early years, Madhwal even received training from Avtar Singh, the same cricket coach who mentored Pant before his move to Delhi.
