According to Downdetector.com, a website that monitors outages, there were over 100,000 incidents reported in the United States, 24,000 in Canada, and more than 56,000 in Britain.

Meta Platform Inc’s Instagram has been restored for the majority of users after a technical issue disrupted services for thousands of people. A spokesperson from Meta confirmed that they quickly resolved the issue for those impacted by the problem.

The exact number of affected users was not disclosed by the company. However, Downdetector.com reported that over 180,000 users experienced difficulties accessing Instagram during the peak of the outage.

The outage began around 5:45 p.m. EST (2145 GMT) on Sunday, as indicated by Downdetector.com. By 8:30 p.m. EST, the number of reported outages had decreased to just over 7,000.
