Madhya Pradesh Home Minister accuses Sunny Leone of hurting Hindu religious sentiments in her ‘Madhuban’ music video

The latest song video titled ‘Madhuban’ starring Sunny Leone brought on a stir after releasing on Wednesday. Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra, on Sunday, has stated to take down the ‘obscene’ song video. In the wake of the controversy, music label Saregama on Sunday stated the company will “change” the call and lyrics of the song ‘madhuban mein Radhika naache’ after Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra alleged the song video, had harmed Hindus’ religious sentiments.

“In lightof recentfeedback and respecting the sentiments of our fellow countrymen, we will be changing the lyrics and name of the song ‘madhuban…’. The new song will replace the oldacross all platforms over the next3 days,” Saregama stated. Mr. Mishra – who adds Ms. Leone to a growinglist of brandsand artisticcontent material he deems objectionable and has threatened with legalaction, which includesa jewellerycollectionbydesigner Sabyasachi – claimed the video that accompanies the song hurts Hindu sentiments.

“Some people continuously hurt Hindu sentiments… there are temples for Radha… we pray to her. Saqib Toshi (the music composer) can make songs concerning his religion, however, such songs offend us. I will take legaladvice and actioncan be taken if the video is not taken down in 3 days,” he stated.
