ZEE5, India’s biggest homegrown OTT platform, has released many flagship Original series which went on to become famous and iconic – such as Abhay, Rangbaaz, Sunflower, amongst others. Next up is Original series, Sutliyan, a family drama starring Ayesha Raza, Shiv Pandit, Vivaan Shah, and Plabita Borthakur in pivotal roles.
While the cast and crew have started shoot, the series will premiere later this year. ‘Sutliyan’ is a heartwarming tale of a family in which the adult children return to their family domestic in Bhopal, the town in which they grew up, weeks earlier than Diwali. As they meet after years, trying to come to terms with situations, they’re burdened with emotional baggage from the past and unresolved conflicts in relationships as they go through the challenging, but the important adventure of emotional and religious cleansing. Helmed through Shree Narrayan Singh and produced through Manor Rama Pictures, Sutliyan is a slice of life, family drama with deep-seated emotional turmoil and laced with lighthearted humor and sibling camaraderie.
