Representatives from EU nations have agreed that the European Commission to be the only enforcer of recent tech regulations, with a constrained function for country wide antitrust watchdogs rather than the broader powers searched for them, officers stated on Monday.
EU ministers will officially ratify the agreement on November 25 as a part of the bloc’s common position in advance of negotiations with EU lawmakers and the Commission on the draft regulations referred to as the Digital Markets Act (DMA) before they could emerge as law.
