Dia Mirza feels truly grateful to celebrate her first Diwali with son Avyaan and husband Vaibhav Rekhi

Actress Dia Mirza, who married Vaibhav Rekhi this year, is celebrating her first Diwali with her son Avyaan. The couple welcomed their baby through an emergency C-section in May.

Their son was in the neonatal intensive care unit for a while and was recently brought home by the couple.

Talking to her about her first Diwali, Dia told the Hindustan Times, “It is overwhelming to see Avyaan celebrate his first Diwali after all the challenges he faced this year. It was very enriching to see how he dealt with everything that came his way with a big smile and such a pure and happy spirit.”

She also spoke about dealing with health challenges during and after pregnancy. She said, “I hope, as adults, we can return to this state of absolute innocence and trust in the universe. Both Vaibhav and I are very grateful to be able to celebrate our first Diwali with Avyaan. ”

She also said that the celebrations will be sustainable, environmentally conscious and she wants to pass the traditions on to her son who was last in Anubhav Sinha’s” Thappad ” with Taapsee Pannu. She recently appeared on an OTT show with Soni Razdan, Aahana Kumra and Rajat Kapoor.
