It was only a few days ago that the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) was planning to demolish a portion of Amitabh Bachchan’s Pratiksha mansion in order to enlarge the road, which will forever ruin the bungalow’s appearance.

The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has put up a sign outside the renowned actor’s residence, praising his “large heart” and pleading with him to provide permission. The MNS put up a sign outside Huge B’s house declaring that they are counting on his big heart to assist in the road widening project. For this, Bachchan is anticipated to part with a piece of his home. Bachchan received notice in 2017 that a portion of his Juhu house property would be removed by the BMC to expand Sant Dnyaneshwar Marg.

The megastar was notified about the work, as were seven other homeowners in the neighborhood, including filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani. The next plot’s wall had previously been removed, but Big B’s home had been spared. He has not responded to the problem, but all of the other building owners have given their consent. Pratiksha is the only building that remains to be demolished.

According to a news report, the BMC has instructed the collector to remove the bungalow’s wall as soon as possible under the road-widening law. In a meeting with the agency, an advocate and a Municipal Councillor questioned why the BMC work surrounding all other properties but the Bachchan residence had been finished.

She had pointed out that the site adjacent to Bachchan’s bungalow had had its wall removed and drainage installed, but the actor’s home had been left intact. She went on to say that the project is vital because there are a few schools, an ISKCON temple, and Mumbai monuments in the neighborhood, and that it was abruptly halted due to Big B’s bungalow.
