The Hindi version of the Tamil popular film “Vikram Vedha” would star Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan. The makers of the original film, Pushkar-Gayathri, will direct the remake.
Following their success in Tamil with the R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi blockbuster, the director duo Pushkar-Gayathri will now direct the Hindi version, starring Hrithik and Saif Ali Khan. On September 30, 2022, the film will be released in theatres.
The film is based on the ancient legend of Vikram-Betaal, in which a cunning gangster succeeds to elude a diligent cop by inventing a fresh story based on his own life.
Aamir Khan was said to be playing Vedha in an earlier version of the film. However, for reasons unknown to him, the ‘PK’ star reportedly dropped out of the film, and Hrithik was cast in the lead.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Saif will next be seen in the film ‘Bhoot Police,’ in which he will portray a ghostbuster. Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Yami Gautam also star in the film.
On the other hand, Hrithik will be collaborating for the first time with none other than Deepika Padukone in his next project. The film is titled ‘Fighter,’ and it is directed by Siddharth Anand. According to reports, this is India’s first aerial action franchise.
