Microsoft is encouraging Windows clients to quickly install an update after security researchers tracked down a genuine vulnerability in the operating system.

The security flaw, known as PrintNightmare, influences the Windows Print Spooler service. Researchers at cybersecurity organization Sangfor inadvertently distributed a how-to guide for exploiting it.

The analysts tweeted in late May that they had discovered vulnerabilities in Print Spooler, which permits different clients to get to a printer. They distributed a proof-of-concept online accidentally and in this way erased it – yet not before it was distributed somewhere else on internet, including designer website GitHub.

Microsoft (MSFT) cautioned that programmers that abuse the vulnerability could install proograms, see and erase information or even make new client accounts with full client rights. That provides programmers enough order and control of your PC to do some genuine harm.
