An internal survey planned by Apple employees shows respondents need the choice to work from home and fear their associates may need to leave if the organization forces individuals back to the workplace.
The news goes ahead after Tim Cook’s declaration that Apple will be carrying out another hybrid work model that will expect representatives to get back to the workplace three days a week toward the beginning of September. While the move is a major shift for Apple, which discouraged remote work before the pandemic, it’s still excessively exacting for some employees. They say that without the choice to work from home, some will be compelled to leave.
After two weeks, Apple conveyed a video doubling down on the hybrid model, saying “we accept that in-person cooperation is fundamental for our way of life and our future.”
The video irked few workers, who felt executives hadn’t paid attention to their viewpoint. Indeed, even representatives who would prefer not to work from home have always said the organization needs to consider greater adaptability while the Delta variant keeps on flooding.
While Apple is urging workers to get immunized, it’s not expecting everybody to wear masks in the workplace, saying rather that “deciding to wear a mask in where rules have been lifted is an individual choice.”
