Abhishek Bachchan and his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan spent their first wedding anniversary in the Maldives. While it seemed lovely at first, it turned out to be a ‘disaster’ for the pair.

That’s right, you read that correctly. Abhishek stated in a nostalgic interview with a magazine that Aishwarya and he travelled to the Maldives to celebrate their first wedding anniversary in 2009. Abhishek remembered going on a lovely beach dinner date. However, he described it as a “disaster” because the wind kept blowing out the candles and sand got into the food due to the breeze, making it taste bad. All the men out there should never try this, according to the actor.

However, Abhishek noted that it wasn’t all horrible because he was with his wife, the most gorgeous woman on the planet. He claims he could spend hours with her just shooting the breeze. He revealed that they discuss a wide range of topics and even have in-depth discussions. He also stated that being present, sharing, and listening to your wife is the most romantic thing you can do for her.

Abhishek had previously revealed in another interview that he and Aishwarya had been friends for a long period before falling in love. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was one of his very first co-stars. Their first film together was named ‘Dhai Akshar Prem Ke,’ which was technically the second film he started shooting after Kareena Kapoor Khan’s ‘Refugee.’ He went on to say that Aishwarya has always been a close buddy and that the two have collaborated on numerous films. The cosmos, according to the actor, conspired to bring them together.

Abhishek will next be seen in the film ‘Dasvi,’ which also stars Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur in lead roles. He’s also working on a film called ‘Bob Biswas.’

Aishwarya Rai will, on the other hand, reunite with Mani Ratnam in ‘Ponniyin Selvan,’ in which she would reportedly portray a complex character.
