The Jallianwala Bagh Massacre is the subject of a new film from Karan Johar. The movie will be directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and will be based on true events, according to the filmmaker. Aside from the director, there isn’t much else known about this nameless project.

“This video tells the storey of Sankaran Nair’s renowned courtroom battle with the British Raj to find the truth about the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. Sankaran Nair’s bravery sparked the country’s freedom struggle and is a monument to the power of standing up for what is right. The film is based on true events and is adapted from Raghu Palat’s (great-grandson of Sankaran Nair) and his wife, Pushpa Palat’s book, ‘The Case That Shook The Empire,’ which was written by Raghu Palat (great-grandson of Sankaran Nair) and his wife, Pushpa Palat.

Shanaya Kapoor, the daughter of Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, will make her Bollywood debut through Karan Johar’s production house. Shashank Khaitan is set to direct this flick. Shanaya recently told IANS that she is “very excited and looking forward to shooting the film.” I’ve done numerous readings with my director and have had a lot of discussions about my character brief and scene breakdown.”

Apart from that, Karan Johar is producing ‘Brahmastra,’ a film starring Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. Ayan Mukerji directs this sci-fi movie, which stars Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, and Mouni Roy in prominent roles. ‘Takht,’ a period drama directed by Karan Johar, will also be released.
