Following the success of last year’s thriller ‘Dwitiyo Purush,’ national award-winning filmmaker Srijit Mukherji is now focusing on romance, a relatively new terrain for him, with a group of young actors. ‘X=Prem,’ a new age love drama starring Anindya Sengupta, Shruti Das, Arjun Chakraborty, and Madhurima Basak, is set to begin shooting in the city on July 2nd, according to the director.
While Anindya and Shruti are making their acting debuts in ‘X=Prem,’ Arjun and Madhurima will be working with Mukherji for the first time.
“For a long time, I’ve been inundated with requests from the audience to try my hand at the romance genre,” the director stated. ‘X=Prem’ is a new age love film that will reflect the wonderful hues of collegiate romance, but told in a unique way.
“We are so familiar with the concept, but it is so distinct from the core. The nicest aspect is that the film will feature four youthful, vibrant actors. Working with newbies is always a pleasure, and I am looking forward to it “, Mukherji stated.
“We are extremely familiar with the notion, but it is very different from the core. The best aspect is that the film will include four young and talented actors. Working with newbies is always a joy, and I am looking forward to it “, Mukherji remarked.
Hemlock Society’s Zulfiqar creator, Baishe Srabon, said “I’d always wanted to helm a love film. Taking a vacation from sombre flicks, I’ve been watching thrillers “.
“X-Prem is a futuristic love storey,” the director of Gumnaami and Chotuskone explained.
