Entertainers Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor on Sunday commended the seventh commemoration of their show spine chiller ‘Ek Villain’, coordinated by Mohit Suri. Sponsored by Ekta Kapoor, the film was a hit upon its delivery in 2014.
‘Ek Villain’ chronicled the narrative of a lawbreaker, Guru (Malhotra), whose critically ill spouse Ayesha (Kapoor) is killed by Rakesh, a perverted chronic executioner, played by Riteish Deshmukh in his first negative role.
Kapoor, 34, took to Instagram and gave a whoop to her fan clubs for denoting the film’s commemoration with their fan edits.
“My most lovely fan clubs, simply going through all the edits made by you and again you all continue to overpower me,” she shared on her Ig Story.
‘Ek Villain’ was a flight for Malhotra, who showed up in the activity spine chiller space after lighthearted comedies like ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’ (2014) and the Karan Johar executive ‘Student of the Year’, which denoted his introduction in 2012.
The 36-year-old entertainer took to Instagram and shared in the background recordings from the film.
“Observing the unique role of Ayesha’s soul, Guru’s endearing nature and Rakesh’s mischievous side that made this mind boggling story of a lowlife.
The film’s soundtrack, formed by Mithoon, Ankit Tiwari, and the band Soch, highlighted chartbusters like ‘Galliyan’, ‘Banjaara’, ‘Hamdard’ and ‘Awari’.
