Rhea Chakraborty was in the news a year ago after her beau, actor Sushant Singh Rajput died on June 14. After a drug investigation surfaced during Sushant’s death investigation, the actress was probed by the Narcotics Control Bureau. And now, Zee News has obtained her statement to the NCB, which contains some disturbing revelations. Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Priyanka Singh and brother-in-law Siddharth allegedly used to smoke marijuana with the late actor and would even buy the drugs for him, according to Rhea Chakraborty’s chargesheet.
According to the statement, Rhea admitted that Sara Ali Khan had hand-rolled marijuana joint with her and that she had smoked them with Sara. This was something Rhea referenced in association with a conversation on June 4, 2017. Rhea was detained and given bail after 28 days while the NCB investigated the narcotics nexus in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death cast. Showik Chakraborty, her brother, was also arrested in the same case and eventually released on bail. Sushant Singh Rajput’s father filed a FIR in Patna after his death in June 2020, accusing Rhea of abetment to suicide and alleged financial irregularities totaling Rs 15 crore.
Sushant Singh Rajput was discovered dead in his Bandra residence on June 14. Rhea had stayed with him during the lockdown, but she had left only a few days before the actor died. “I’m sure you’re in a lot better position now. The moon, the stars, and the galaxy would have gladly welcomed “the greatest physicist.” You could light up a shooting star with your empathy and excitement – and now you are one. After the actor died, Rhea stated, “I shall wait for you, my shooting star, and make a wish to bring you back to me.”
