Toofaan, starring Farhan Akhtar, is one of Mrunal Thakur’s most anticipated films. The sports drama, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, stars Farhan as a national-level boxer, with Mrunal in a pivotal part. The completed picture is awaiting release since the producers have yet to decide on a suitable date. The film, which also stars Paresh Rawal and Darshan Kumar, was originally scheduled to be released on May 21, but was postponed due to the lockdown.

Despite the fact that she eagerly anticipates for the film’s launch, Mrunal says, “The situation in the country is not so good,”. It’s a pretty delicate situation out there. Despite the fact that we had set a release date for the month of May, we opted to push it because the timing is critical. We believe that this is a film that deserves a lot of love and acclaim, and we can’t be inhuman by advertising it aggressively in the midst of a pandemic. The entire team prefers to wait, thus no dates have been set yet, but the team will keep the audience updated on the release date.”

Mrunal was last seen in Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30 in 2019, after making her Bollywood debut with Love Sonia in 2018. In the same year, she starred alongside John Abraham in the film Batla House. The actress is also looking forward to Jersey this year. The film, which also stars Shahid Kapoor, is set in the world of cricket.
