Kartik Aaryan’s film “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2” will begin filming as soon as the Maharashtra government verifies the relaxation of covid-related flexibilities. Maker Murad Khetani says, “We will be unable to shoot in a bio bubble, which is the current standard to shoot in Mumbai, as it’s troublesome cycle. We will trust that Mumbai will come to Level 2 status and afterward we will plan the shooting. At the current rate of performance in Mumbai and the reduction in Covid-19 numbers, we may be able to reach Level 2 in a week.”
The film’s Mumbai schedule, which could be the concluding one, would be shot on location. Khetani adds, “We will construct a set in one of the studios once things get stable and we mean to finish the shoot in one schedule, operating in accordance with the celebrity’s dates.”
Kartik will star alongside Kiara Advani, Tabu, and Rajpal Yadav in the film. It is an independent spin-off of Priyadarshan’s 2007 famous horror comedy ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ that featured Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. Anees Baazmee is directing the follow-up.
The filming of ‘Bhool 2’ began in October 2019 and was set to be released in July 2020. A couple of months prior, Kartik had reported via social media platform that the film could deliver on November 19, 2021. Revealing about the plans for the film’s release date and platform of release, Khetani says, “We haven’t scheduled the launch date however ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ will release in theatres whenever the film is prepared.”
Kartik has been posting behind-the-scenes photographs and stills from the shoot of the film on his social media accounts. In March, he even shared a humorous pic with Rajpal Yadav and wished his fans a Happy Holi. He’d even shared a funny photo of Tabu, stating she was carrying a portable bio-bubble with her.
It remains to be seen whether ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2′ will be released in theatres or as a hybrid OTT and theatrical release.
