Rajesh Roshan celebrated his birthday by reminiscing about some of his greatest hits, including the classic ‘Chookar Mere Mann Ko’ and its ‘big history,’ which enraged megastar Amitabh Bachchan while they were both working on it.
He told a news website that Amitabh had to meet the music director for the song on a frequent basis, even after the filming of ‘Yaarana’ was over. However, while the song was still being recorded, Amitabh had to fly to Kolkata to shoot another film. He also remembered Big B calling him one morning to tell him he wouldn’t be able to shoot the song because it was completed earlier than expected. “I told him that if he believes in me, he should film it; I could sense his rage over the phone,” Rajesh Roshan stated.
He went to say; Despite differences due to his busy schedule, Amitabh never cancelled a shoot or instructed director Raakesh Kumar to change the song or music director. He ended with the phrase “a song to remember.”
Rakesh Roshan is the brother of Rajesh Roshan, who is an acclaimed director in the Bollywood Industry. The two brothers have worket in numerous hit films, including Hrithik Roshan’s debut hit ‘ Kaho Naa Pyar Hai’
