Vikram Bhatt, who has entertained everyone with his horror and thrill films , as of late talked to ETimes. There was information about Alia Bhatt being trolled for delivering the ‘Gangubai’ trailer in the midst of the pandemic situation. As a response to something similar, the producer said,“ Even I get trolled by a lot of people. But an entertainer should be strong. In earlier days, there used to be plays, and when people wouldn’t like it they would throw tomatoes on the artists, and if they would like the play, they would shower flowers, sometimes even chappals. We are ‘bhaand beraazi’; such people should understand that this is our work. People will throw stones or flowers, but people will throw something or the other and we have to be ready. If one wants to be popular and one wants people to meet them and admire them, there will be some people who will not like them too”.
Also, the movie producer concedes that a few trollers just enjoy doing such things because of the reaction it inspires. “They don’t believe it but they say it because of frustration. In the film corridor; whenever a kissing scene is there , people shout, ‘Yes Pappi Le Li ‘ and I have experienced my childhood in such situations. Agar log nhi rhenge toh, humari film kon dekhega (If these individuals are not there, then who will watch our movies?). I should tell you that these individuals acclaim you too when they like your work. I don’t give importance to trolling. I don’t sign on to Twitter because I feel people go there to just abuse you,” he expressed.
We tried to get information about his sibling Mahesh Bhatt being trolled for supporting Rhea Chakraborty in Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise case. Vikram Bhatt told that he is not my brother but he is my teacher. It’s his nature to help people. People love saying whatever they want to say; I cannot change his nature. Even if he’s my guru, he shouldn’t react in a certain way. I myself ask the trolls to troll me.”
Vikram Bhatt is as of now working on his web series, ‘Anamika’
