Irfan Siddiqui: The pandemic has taken a toll on the entertainment Industry, many people are unemployed and suffering

Irfan Siddiqui, like many others, sees the current epidemic situation as challenging and tragic and wishes for better times ahead. The screenwriter-lyricist asks everyone to remain vigilant and work together in the fight against the virus. “This is a sad, tragic, and heart-wrenching time,” adds Irfan, who has worked on films such as ‘Iqbal,’ ‘Fashion,’ ‘Teen Patti,’ ‘Chance Pe Dance,’ ‘Kurbaan,’ and ‘Heroine.’ People are distressed all around us. We must do all possible to stay secure and protected, and we must pray to God for everyone’s safety. We must be empathetic and supportive of one another.”

It is common fact that the pandemic has had a significant impact on the entertainment sector. “I know how badly the theatre and entertainment industries have been hurt since I operate a live theatre producing company,” he says. Many people are unemployed and in need. I’m hoping this will be over soon.”

Writing has come to his rescue and helped him stay cheerful through these tough times. “I also try to reach out to my friends, relatives, and anyone else I know who needs assistance or simply wants to have a simple conversation,” he continues. Bringing positivism to others makes it easier for me to stay positive.”

“I understand the anguish and difficulty that people are going through. I don’t feel compelled to write something along those lines because it will only exacerbate the agony rather than alleviate it. That’s why I wrote a song, which I hope will lift people’s spirits,” he concludes.
