The 6.55-inch screen features a 20:9 ratio and determination of 2400X1200 pixels, with a pixel density of 402ppi. The AMOLED panel boasts 120Hz refresh rate, above the 90Hz seen with OnePlus 8. The display has been covered with Corning Gorilla Glass for cover .

The innards of OnePlus 8T feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, including 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, or 12GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The device runs OxygenOS 11 supported Android 11. OnePlus 8T draws power from a 4,500mAh battery which comes with 65W fast charging capabilities.

In the optics department, the quad-camera setup at the rear of OnePlus 8T includes a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor with an f/1.7 lens, along side a 16-megapixel Sony IMX481 sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 lens, a 5MP macro shooter and a 2MP monochrome camera. Up front, the selfie camera may be a 16MP unit with Sony IMX471 sensor and f/2.4 lens.

Connectivity options on OnePlus 8T include LTE/LTE-A which will support up to DL Cat 18/UL Cat 18 (1.2Gbps /200Mbps), counting on the carrier, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax with 2.4G/5G support, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou, A-GPS, and a USB Type.
