The audio quality of the Zebronics Sound Bomb SI wireless earphones left me surprised, especially given the very fact that these aren’t an upscale pair.

Sadly we don’t talk much about Zebronics, the Chennai company which has for several years been making value for money audio products for the Indian market. i prefer Zebronics products not simply because of their very Indian pricing, but because they also offer good audio quality for the worth . The new Zeb Sound Bomb SI wireless earphones are not any exception.
The Zeb Sound Bomb SI has one among the better-looking charging cases I even have seen in recent times and is sort of compact too. it’s a strip of LED lights on top to point out the charging level of the case. Open the flap, and you’ve got the 2 wireless earphones nestled inside. there’s alittle USB-C port at the rear for charging.
It is easy to pair the earphones together with your phone. the 2 pair together , though on my MacBook they showed up as two Bluetooth earphones. But there too, connecting one was enough. the edges of the earphones have the multi function buttons which you’ll use to pair, power on/off, summon the voice assistant and take or cut calls. But like other earphones of this type , this is often touch sensitive and stop music or cut calls albeit you touch the edges unknowingly.
The earphones of the Zeb Sound Bomb SI fit well and stay in situ whatever you are doing (Express photo: Nandagoapal Rajan)
The earphones of the Zeb Sound Bomb SI fit well and stay in situ whatever you are doing . The silicone tips are comfortable and that i didn’t got to charge the pair that came pre-attached.
The audio quality of the earphones left me surprised, especially given the very fact that these aren’t an upscale pair. I can’t say the audio profile is neutral because it features a little bit of balmy bass, like a singer with a husky voice. that gives a sort of cosy warmth to the whole experience. i attempted my regular playlist and therefore the experience was quite good, and therefore the earphones worked for the whole spectrum of compositions I had on the list. At higher volumes, the audio does get a touch shrill, on the other hand you’re not alleged to hear such volumes.
I listened to author Amit Chaudhuri’s this is often Not Fusion album on Apple Music and loved equally of it — the vocals really stood out and you are feeling the hands on the strings. My present favourite, Cherathukal from Kumbalangi Night, lacked a touch of sharpness, but the audio profile did take me back to the sultry Kerala summer night. When the music is complex you are doing realise this is often not a high-end audio device.

However, there’s one thing I didn’t like about the Zeb Sound Bomb SI. The earphones, within the middle of a song or a podcast, go mono for a second for no reason whatsoever. You hear Zebronics being announced in one among the earphones in order that you’ll steel oneself against a couple of seconds of mono. Also, sometimes I got the sensation the 2 earphones had a touch of a lag in one among the earphones, but so tiny that i’m unsure of it.
The company claims about 18 hours of battery life and you ought to be ready to get around four hours from the earphones whenever . the decision quality is sweet too and you’ll haven’t any reason to complain.
At Rs 2,849, the Zeb Sound Bomb SI is probably the foremost affordable truly wireless earphones you’ll patronize the instant . For the affordability, you’ve got to pay with some lack of stability, but the decent audio profile makes up for this. this is often not a nasty choice to consider.
