Democratic presidential candidate and former US vp Joe Biden has mentioned that he’ll carry the short-term suspension on H-1B visas, probably the most sought-after by Indian IT professionals, if he wins the November presidential elections. On June 23, in an enormous blow to Indian IT professionals eyeing the US job market, the Trump administration suspended the H-1B visas together with different forms of international work visas till the top of 2020 to guard American staff in a vital election 12 months.
Biden, in a digital city corridor assembly on Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) points organised by NBC Information, praised the contribution of H-1B visa holders.
“He (US President Donald Trump) simply ended H-1B visas the remainder of this 12 months. That won’t be in my administration,” Biden, 77, mentioned responding to a query in the course of the city corridor. He was referring to the short-term suspension of the H-1B visas and different international work visas by Trump for the remainder of the 12 months.
