Actor and filmmaker Jordan Peele is standing in solidarity with the group amid the Black Lives Matter motion. The actor has donated $1 million to 5 organizations Black Emotional and Psychological Well being Collective, Black Lives Matter, Equal Justice Initiative, Truthful Struggle, and Transgender Gender-Variant & Intersex Justice Challenge.
On Wednesday, his firm Monkeypaw launched a press release that learns, “We’re dedicated to continually move towards a system rooted within the violence towards and oppression of the Black group.”
Jordan Peele based Monkeypaw in 2012. His announcement and donation information is available in two weeks after the worldwide protests towards police brutality and racial injustice. This was sparked after a video had surfaced of a policeman killing George Floyd in Minneapolis. The cop has been arrested and charged with second-degree homicide.
