The Federation of Western India Cinema Workers (FWICE) has written to the Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Uddhav Thackeray to permit the Mumbai movie business to renew partial work.

The letter dated 19 Might 2020 asks the CM to permit post-production work to renew. Says the letter, “If permissions (sic.) are given to hold out such post-production actions…which could be executed in closed studios with minimal workforce it could be nice reduction …. They (producers) shall be able to launch their tasks instantly after the lockdown is lifted.”

The FWICE’s Chief Adviser Ashoke Pandit who is likely one of the undersigned within the letter says, “The movie business like the remainder of the financial system is reeling beneath an unprecedented financial disaster. We have to get again to work slowly as a result of we will’t watch for the virus to go away. I don’t assume it’s going away anytime within the close to future. We have now to work our manner round it.”
